AN associate directorof the public relations company, 3×1, has been unveiled as the new chair of the Scottish branch of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Debbie Byers succeeds Carol Matthews and is to be supported by Emma Diamond, from Smarts, as vice-chair.
In Scotland, the CIPR has more than 780 members drawn from public relations consultancies, public sector organisations and PRs working for private sector companies.
It is estimated that around 4,000 people are employed in the public relations industry in Scotland.
