THE Sunday Herald celebrated its tenth birthday at the weekend, with a centre-spread and a series of congratulatory quotes from VIPs and personalities.
The paper carried the mission statement of founding editor, Andrew Jaspan, on February 7, 1999, and a message on the future from current editor, Richard Walker, who concluded: “The business of journalism has changed in the past ten years – technology has given us wonderful new tools to bring news to our readers.
“The challenge is to use them wisely and well. It’s a challenge we look forward to meeting in the years ahead.”
