IN these cash-strapped times, it’s encouraging to hear that a group of west of Scotland newspapers are to be soon operating in smart, brand-new premises.
It is believed too that any savings Clyde and Forth Press might make by bringing together the six newspaper titles – among them the Clydebank Post and Dumbarton Reporter – under the one roof, will be used to stem the sort of editorial cutbacks that are now prevalent throughout the newspaper industry.
It’s also understood there will be no job losses caused by the move.
The new premises will serve as an advertising, editorial and production hub for the titles.
