THE sports editor at The Daily Record and the production editor at sister title, the Sunday Mail, are among 13 staff at the two papers to have their applications for voluntary redundancy accepted.
Alan Rowan and David Ross were among those to respond to an invitation for voluntary redundancy applicants, issued by the papers’ owners, Trinity Mirror, towards the end of last month.
Eight of the 13 are from editorial. The other five are from IT, advertising and operations.
All 13 staff will have left the company by the end of February.
