MUSIC magazine, Clash, was last night chosen as the top magazine in Scotland, at an awards ceremony in Glasgow.
The Dundee-based title – which has this year gone from bi-monthly to monthly and also undergone a redesign – held off stiff competition from, among others, golf title, Bunkered, which took two prizes, as did The Big Issue in Scotland.
It was also a good night for publishers, Think Scotland, but the odds were on Clash taking the overall title when it scooped the ‘Consumer mag’ prize.
The ceremony – held at the Radisson Hotel, Glasgow, attended by 400 people and entertained by comedian, Craig Hill – was hosted by the Periodical Publishers Association. The awards are now in their fifth year.
Nineteen prizes were handed out, from a shortlist of 87.
