THE Evening Times newspaper took to the streets on Wednesday to ask members of the public whether Scottish cyclist, Chris Hoy, should be knighted on account of winning three gold medals at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
And among the ‘vox popped’ was a Louise Baillie, who was quoted saying: “I wouldn’t give Chris Hoy a knighthood just yet as I think honours are given out too easily these days.”
Surely it could not be the same Louise Baillie, a sub-editor at The Scottish Sun which, on Monday, splashed: ‘Knight rider – Sir bid for Hoy as Brits go on gold rush’?
