THE website of The Scotsman newspaper has boosted its newsdesk, following two appointments.
www.scotsman.com has taken on Stephen Emerson, from the Derry Journal, in the newly-created role of senior online production journalist.
He will take on responsibility for all day-to-day publishing aspects of scotsman.com.
Meanwhile, Nick Mitchell has been appointed to the post of online production journalist. Nick, who has worked regularly for scotsman.com on a freelance basis, is a graduate of Napier University’s School of Journalism.
The website’s publishers say the new appointments will “allow scotsman.com to publish even more video and audio content and further improve the site’s coverage of live news and sport”.
Added Alan Greenwood, scotsman.com editor: “I am delighted to welcome Stephen and Nick to scotsman.com. They are talented journalists who have a strong track record in digital media publishing and will further strengthen scotsman.com’s position as Scotland’s most-read newspaper website.”
