THE possibility of non-stop rain, for 11 hours, in Glasgow did not go down particularly well with quite a number of people commenting on the website of the Evening Times.
It seems the paper’s front page treatment of the prospect of more than a month’s worth of rain falling in a single day did not – in the opinion of quite a few – constitute news.
Said regular contributor, ‘Sydney Meriwether’: “Yesterday, the Glasgow East by-election was being reported in the US; and today the ET has ‘It’s gonnae rain in Glasgow’ on its front page!”
