THE Edinburgh International Film Festival opens today, with a strong presence from Scotland, including four feature films, plus numerous short films and documentaries.
The feature films are Stone of Destiny, Summer, The New Ten Commandments and Trouble Sleeping.
Stone of Destiny is about the group of Scottish students who stole the Stone of Scone, from Westminster Abbey and returned it to Scotland.
The film is to be distributed UK-wide thanks to a deal secured with Odeon Sky and it was made partly due to half a million pound’s worth of funding from Scottish Screen.
