SCOTLAND’S PR practitioners are being invited to submit their best work to this year’s annual awards, being run by the Scottish division of their representative body, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Entries for the CIPR Scotland PRide Awards are required by the fourth of next month. The awards ceremony is taking place on November 20, in Edinburgh.
Says Carol Matthews, CIPR Scotland chair: “The PRide awards present a terrific opportunity to highlight all that is great about PR north of the border and can be hugely beneficial in attracting new business and retaining current clients.”
Two, new categories are being added this year to the awards roster: for ‘Best public affairs’ and ‘Best event’.
In Scotland, the CIPR has more than 800 members, drawn from public relations consultancies, public sector organisations and PRs working for private sector companies.
It is estimated that around 4,000 people are employed in the public relations industry in Scotland.
