THE Daily Record has underlined its commitment to its online offering by promoting one of its assistant editors to the role of digital editorial director.
Ewan Watt’s new role will see him responsible for the development of editorial content on the Daily Record website, plus those of sister titles, the Sunday Mail and Business 7.
Says an internal memo from the papers’ managing director, Mark Hollinshead: “He will also play a key role in the future planning to transform our editorial operations into a fully integrated multi-media environment.”
The current digital editorial team, led by Iain Hepburn. will be now reporting to Ewan.
