THE Scottish Sun has hooked up with one of its former employees to offer a personalised front page – bearing its own masthead – as a competition prize for readers.
James McIvor now runs a business creating spoof front pages, to mark a special occasion, such as a birthday. Until now, his business – Scooped! – has used fictional mastheads, but The Scottish Sun has invited him to create reproduction front pages, using their own masthead, to celebrate Father’s Day.
Ten readers will receive mocked up front pages declaring them to be ‘Scotland’s best dad’.
McIvor used to be chief sub-editor at the paper. The competition was launched on Saturday.
And the relationship is not confined to Father’s Day, which is taking place on the 15th of next month.
