ONE of the most popular programmes on BBC Two is soon to be partly presented from Scotland.
The Culture Show is to be half-presented from BBC Scotland’s Pacific Quay headquarters in Glasgow, and half in London – its current full-time home.
BBC Scotland has provided production input for the programme since it launched four years ago. Its main presenters are Lauren Laverne and Mark Kermode.
The split coincides with new time slots for the programme. From the third of next month, it will be transmitted 10pm Tuesdays and 11.35pm Fridays.
Says Roly Keating, Controller of BBC Two: “Broadcasting the show from Glasgow and London in alternate weeks underlines the programme’s mission to bring a UK-wide perspective to topical arts and culture.”
