THE Scotsman has recruited from within its own ranks to fill the post of senior assistant editor.
Following the departure of Paul Riddell for the editorship of The Shetland Times – and Spike hears he used the occasion of his leaving party last week to heavily criticise the paper’s publishers – David Lee is to be his replacement.
He officially begins on the 12th of this month and currently edits the professional pages – law, health, education, government/public affairs and science and environment – plus the weekly, Recommends supplement and the daily diary, Alba.
He also edited the Scotland Recommends book, a spin-off from the supplement, which is published by Luath Press this week.
