SCOTTISH TV and film director, Douglas Mackinnon, yesterday received not one but two pieces of good news regarding recent work of his.
First up, actor, Jonny Lee Miller, has been nominated for Best British Actor by the London Film Critics Circle – which is hosting an awards ceremony in February. It is for his depiction of cyclist, Graeme Obree, in the movie, The Flying Scotsman, directed by Mackinnon.
And James Nesbitt has a Golden Globe nomination for BBC TV drama series, Jekyll, which Mackinnon also directed. The Golden Globe nomination is for Best Actor in a Mini-Series.
