FOR the second, successive month, the sales gap between Scotland’s two best-selling daily newspapers has narrowed.
From the latest ‘ABCs’, consisting of the average net circulation figures for November, the gap between the Scottish Sun and the Daily Record had narrowed to 36,744. In October, the gap was 37,591 while, for September, it had been 38,051.
The November ABCs reveal an average net circulation of 403,326 for the Scottish Sun – as opposed to 404,347 in October – and 366,582 for the Daily Record – compared to 366,756 the previous month.
Meanwhile, the Sunday Mail continues to be the biggest-selling newspaper in Scotland, but its average was again down, from 466,073 in October to 460,009 last month. Its average for September was 468,735.
