TWO Edinburgh-based marketing agencies were among the big winners at one of the UK’s most prestigious marketing awards ceremonies, those run by the Direct Marketing Association.
While The Leith Agency took home three gold awards – for its work with car makers, SEAT UK – Story won two golds and a silver for its work with whisky giants, Glenmorangie. It also took a bronze for its work with Ulster Bank.
The DMA Awards describe themselves as “the only advertising awards where entrants need to demonstrate excellence in three core areas – strategy, creativity and results – to satisfy the stringent judging procedures”.
Says Jo Scobie, of DMA Scotland: “There are a host of outstanding agencies in Scotland – it’s fantastic that this talent is being recognised by such a prestigious accolade.
“Advertising and marketing is certainly not just about the big London agencies and Story and The Leith Agency have certainly proved that.”
