THE independent investigation – recently set up by the First Minister – into the future of television in Scotland is to hold its first meeting today.
The Scottish Broadcasting Commission meets this morning, in Glasgow, as it begins its look into television production and broadcasting in this country.
The commission was established by Alex Salmond in August as – it says – “an unique opportunity to review the current state of the industry and to make recommendations for action to strengthen the sector”.
At the meeting, the chair – Blair Jenkins – and commission members will discuss the scope of their inquiries and working arrangements.
