SCOTTISH Wrestling is currently looking for a permanent training facility and have employed Glasgow-based sport marketing agency, GRM Marketing, to help them do so.
This milestone is a major move for Scottish Wrestling on its mission to create more opportunities for the sport in Scotland and to help their athletes in their bids for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham 2022.
Scottish Wrestling approached GRM Marketing, whose speciality is sponsorship and sports marketing, to help them in gaining additional support in order to fulfil their plans for this year.
The main initiative for the year is to secure a permanent home for Scottish Wrestling and the wrestling community to ensure the team can prepare for a busy year ahead.
Alex Gladkov, the governance director of Scottish Wrestling, says:

Sponsor Lead currently represents Team GB freestyle wrester, Ross Connelly, and have played a vital part in securing Ross sponsorship, enabling him to travel to the European Championships in North Macedonia last month.
Ross, who is currently ranked number one in Scotland and top 3 podium in his weight category, said:
“I’m delighted to be working with Sponsor Lead and GRM Marketing in the build up to the 2022 Commonwealth Games. I feel, by working with Sponsor Lead, it will increase my chances of winning a medal for Scotland as well as shining a light on the great sport of wrestling.”
