ONE of Scotland’s leading ad space buyers has received a ‘birthday greeting with the difference’ – it brandished on the side of a double decker bus.
To celebrate the 50th birthday of Giles Brooksbank, managing director of Edinburgh-based media buying agency, Feather Brooksbank, a Lothian bus carried a photograph of him and a Happy Birthday message.
The bus was parked for an hour outside Feather Brooksbank’s HQ in the capital’s York Place and was courtesy of specialists in bus advertising, CBS Outdoor.
Said Brooksbank: “This is certainly the biggest birthday message I have ever received. After I got over the initial embarrassment I was very touched by the sentiment from CBS Outdoor.
“I would like to thank everyone involved by creating such a traffic stopping birthday surprise.” He joked: “I will be expecting something bigger and better for my 60th.”
Added Chris Terris, agency account manager for CBS Outdoor: “We wanted to create a birthday surprise Giles would never forget and I’m sure this did the trick. Feather Brooksbank is one of our most important clients and what better way to express this by creating something truly traffic stopping?”
