TALK about keeping it ‘in the family’.
When the presenters of stv’s new car programme, Drivetime, are not sat behind the wheel of the latest family saloon, they can trade tales about presenting a Saturday show on an Edinburgh-based all-speech radio station.
For, taking over the slot on talk107 recently-vacated by Drivetime presenter, Stephen Jardine, is fellow Drivetime presenter, Martel Maxwell.
Her first show was broadcast on Saturday. Maxwell also writes a column for The Scottish Sun.
Meanwhile, Drivetime, which made its debut last Thursday, and is on this evening, attracted a peak audience of almost 400,000 viewers.
