A FORMER chief executive of energy giants, ScottishPower, has been made a member of the board of directors at the publishers of The Scotsman newspaper.
Ian Russell joins the board of Johnston Press as a non-executive director with immediate effect. He joined ScottishPower as its finance director in 1994.
Says Johnston: “Prior to that, he gained extensive experience in a variety of finance roles both in the profession with KPMG and across a range of industries in the UK and Hong Kong.”
Added Roger Parry, chair of Johnston Press: “I am delighted to welcome Ian to the board. His executive career gives an indication of the very real contribution which he will make to Johnston Press’ ongoing development.”
