THE Sunday Herald has appointed a new deputy sports editor, who, until recently, enjoyed a spell working in the Far East.
Jonathan Jobson, who replaces Roddy Thomson, worked for the paper during its early days, following its founding almost eight years ago, before moving to Hong Kong to work on the South China Morning Post’s ‘Premier Soccer’ section.
Since returning to the UK a couple of years ago, he has freelanced for the Sunday Herald – both on the sports desk and producing its monthly, Fresh section – plus the Hong Kong Standard.
