A CD comprising a compilation of wind-ups from the breakfast show on Real Radio Scotland is reported to be the top-selling CD in the country – outperforming Oasis and Take That.
Breakfast Show host, Robin Galloway’s ‘Wind-Up CD: Volume 7’ is said to be at No.1 in retailer, HMV’s Scottish Chart, having sold over 10,000 copies and “well on its way” to the 20,000 mark.
The CD features Robin’s “loveable characters”, ‘Hector Brocklebank’ and ‘Old Mrs Galloway’.
Says Robin: “I always wanted to make the charts and knew I’d never manage it with my singing voice, so to get there having a real laugh is just tremendous. I just hope Paris isn’t looking for a cut.”
