SCOTS radio stations and broadcasters are being invited to submit entries to arguably the most important awards for the UK radio industry, the Sony Radio Academy awards.
With a deadline of January 17 set for the entries, the awards’ 30 categories were unveiled yesterday. Included is the new category of Internet Programme Award, which has been created specifically for streamed, Podcast and download programmes.
Also new for next year is the Lifetime Achievement Award for “broadcasters or practitioners who have served 20 years or more in the industry within the localities, nations or regions of the United Kingdom”.
