PODCASTS continue to grow in popularity, according to figures released by the organisation that tracks radio listenership figures.
According to RAJAR, some two million people listen to podcasts – which represents some 15.2 per cent of those who own a podcast listening device, an mp3 player. It represents a rise during the last quarter (April to June) of 100,000 people on the previous quarter (January to March).
RAJAR also found that 26.1 per cent of all adults (compared to 25.8 per cent during the previous quarter) own an mp3 player.
That’s 13 million adults, 51.8 per cent of whom are aged between 15 and 24 years-old.
