EIGHTY-five magazines have been shortlisted for this year’s Scottish Magazine Awards, being run by the Periodical Publishers Association in Scotland, with the winners to be announced at a dinner on the 30th of next month, in Glasgow.
The shortlist spans 15 categories, with the judges headed by Keith Jones, chief executive officer at publishers, Reed Business Information.
The other judges are John Brown, past chair, Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Scotland; David Cooke, senior trading manager, News & Magazines, Tesco; Helen Hourston, chair, Scottish Institute of Practitioners in Advertising; Peter Martin, head of Magazines, Menzies Distribution; Nick Mazur, deputy CEO, Periodical Publishers Association; Ally Palmer, director, Palmer Watson Design Consultancy; Ray Perman, director, Scottish Enterprise; Pat Roberts Cairns, editorial consultant; Trevor Royle, associate editor, Sunday Herald; Emily Travis, marketing development manager, Royal Mail; and Christopher Ward, chair, Redwood Publishing.
