THE inner Hebridean island of Easdale, in Argyll, is to be the scene of four, two-day photography courses, being run by freelance photographers, Colin McPherson and Adam Lee.
Says Scot, McPherson: “Building on the success of similar courses which were staged last year, we are looking for interested and enthusiastic participants to join us to learn about what it takes to make great photography.
“We’ll be teaching composition, lighting, portraiture and how to build up from a single image to telling stories using your camera.”
Colin McPherson is a freelance photographer who works internationally for a number of media and commercial clients. He is currently undertaking a year-long commission for the 2018 Commonwealth Games which has seen him work in 35 countries across five continents, finishing in April next year.
Adam Lee, meanwhile, is a photographer and project facilitator based in Liverpool. He works for a number of local authority clients and arts organisations delivering projects as well writing about his passion for long- distance walking.
With the unique and stunning backdrop of Easdale, a car-free former slate quarrying island which is home to around 65 people and is accessed by pedestrian ferry, Colin and Adam will guide, assist and teach in a friendly and sociable environment.
The courses are run over two full days and participants will stay three nights in beautiful cottages which boast modern facilities and amazing sea views.
Catering is also provided.
Bookings are being taken now and places are limited.
