A WELL-known Aberdeen facility offering care for the elderly has marked the completion of the first phase of a major refurbishment project.
As part of an investment programme in Aberdeen which totals £22 million across two sites in the city, the 64-bed Rubislaw Park Care Home was recently bought by family-run business, Rubislaw Care LLP, and has since been the focus of extensive upgrading.
Phase one has seen the rejuvenation of three lounges and the creation of a new restaurant/dining room, a bar, a celebration room for private functions, a spa salon and library.
The refurbishment work will be unveiled during an opening event on Friday, August 28th.
In addition, the revitalised home – which is set in large, secure and accessible gardens – now offers long-term nursing care as well as the residential care which was previously available, and care for residents with dementia.
Commenting on the project, Rubislaw Park Care Home director, Manpreet Johal, said: “The recent acquisition of Rubislaw Park Care Home represents a significant addition to our Aberdeen portfolio.
“Our ethos of providing luxurious living spaces for our residents is underlined in the ongoing refurbishment work, and we look forward to sharing our efforts with the public during this month’s open day.”
