BEGINS an announcement from BBC Scotland: “Acclaimed sports journalist, Hugh McIlvanney, will tell the compelling story of his career in a six-part BBC Radio Scotland series which begins this weekend.
“The Ayrshire-born journalist, 81, will give remarkable insights into the lives of many of the stars he has interviewed and reported on during a career that stretches back more than five decades.
“McIlvanney was interviewed by Radio Scotland sports presenter, Geoff Webster, for the The McIlvanney Conversations series that begins on Sunday, June 14, at 1 pm on Radio Scotland on both FM and MW.”

Say the competition organisers, the UK Technical Communication Awards (now in their 23rd year) comprise nine categories split between three classes “focussing on communication effectiveness, use of technology and innovative business practices”.

BEGINS an announcement from STV: “STV Productions has been commissioned by the BBC to deliver a documentary which will commemorate one of the most tragic days in Scotland’s modern history.
“‘One Morning in March’ will air in the weeks leading up to the 20th anniversary of the day in March 1996 when gunman, Thomas Hamilton, entered Dunblane Primary School and shot dead 16 school children and their teacher, Gwen Mayor.”
